Pro Tips
- •Preheat your thermos by filling it with boiling water for 5-10 minutes before adding the hot broth. This helps maintain temperature.
- •Cook rice noodles al dente, slightly undercooked, as they will continue to soften in the hot broth throughout the morning.
- •Freeze broth in portioned bags or containers for easy thawing and quick assembly.
- •Pack fresh herbs and garnishes separately in small containers to prevent them from becoming soggy.
Variations
- •Vegetarian Pho: Use vegetable broth and add firm tofu or mushrooms instead of meat.
- •Seafood Pho: Substitute shrimp or thinly sliced fish for the meat.
- •Add a lime wedge for a fresh citrus flavor.
- •Include a small container of sriracha or chili garlic sauce for added heat.
